A few years ago, I was fortunate to be selected to the Outdoor Celebrity team to visit Kuwait and other countries on an Asian tour of military bases. In this picture, we made a stop at Landstuhl military hospital in Germany where most of our severely injured troops are stabilized and flown immediately to the state for further treatment. God Bless our veterans.

Veterans Day means many things to many people, and each of us celebrate it in different ways. It goes without saying that freedom isn't free. We are a free nation because of the bravery and heroism of our troops who put their lives in harms way to protect our freedom. Many of us would like to thank a veteran for their service, but may not know one. Here's a superb way to reach out. It's simple.

"A MILLION THANKS", a website created to send thank you letters and notes to troops around the world. All you need to do is craft a letter, and follow instructions on the website. They will select a veteran and send your letter on to one of them. So far, this organization has forwarded 7 million letters.

As for me, and all the troops I've become acquainted with over the years, and those reading this that I do not know, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Sometimes we don't show our appreciation enough. This is mine, and I'm also going to send a note through "A MILLION THANKS."
